![]() Your Visit to The Crayola Experience™ Wondering what to expect during a visit to The Crayola Experience? Here are a few FAQ's along with their answers. Q: What can I see and do there? A: In our facility, you will get to see how crayons and markers are made in a live demonstration. You will also get to participate in plenty of hands-on arts and crafts activities using Crayola's different products. Q: How much is admission? A: Admission is $9.75 plus tax per person. Any children ages 2 and under are free. Q: What forms of payment do you accept? A: We accept cash, Visa, or MasterCard. No personal checks can be accepted as payment. Q: How long should I plan on staying there? A: The average stay in our facility is about 2 hours. Since everything is self-guided, you are more than welcome to stay longer. Q: Is there any place to eat lunch? A: Yes! There is a McDonald's Express located on the first floor of the facility. There are also plenty of other local area restaurants located within walking distance that you may enjoy. The Front Desk Staff would be more than happy to point you in the direction of some hometown favorites. If you would like to bring your own lunch, you may use the tables in our Inside Park are on the first floor, or the picnic tables located directly outside of our facility. Q: Is re-entry allowed? A: Yes! Once you purchase your admission, it is good until closing time. When you arrive you will receive an admission sticker which allows you to come in and out of the building all day. Q: Are there any souvenir shops? How late are they open? A: The Crayola Store is located just a few doors down from us. It stays open for and hour after The Crayola Experience has closed. Q: Where can I park? A: There is a municipal parking garage located behind our facility between Pine and Ferry streets for a fee of $2 per hour. There is also metered parking available on the side streets. We do not validate tickets for parking. Q: Do you have parking for RV's and campers? A: There is metered parking on Bank Street. Following any previous directions to the facility, turn left onto Ferry St., and make the first right onto Bank Street. Metered parking is a fee of $1.00 per hour. Q: How should I dress the kids? A: You will want to dress your children in play clothes. Since they will be participating in art projects, we recommend dressing them in the appropriate attire.
Local Attractions Canal Boat Ride (June-July-August) Located a few miles from The Crayola Experience in Hugh Moore Park. Take a 30 minute mule-drawn canal boat ride on the Josiah White II, with costumed interpreters describing life on the canal. Canal boat admission includes a visit to the Emerick Technology Center. A combination ticket for a boat ride and admission to The Crayola Experience is available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Please call (610) 515–8000 for more information.
