Located in eastern Pennsylvania along the New Jersey border, the Lehigh Valley region is home to the three cities of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton. It is the third largest metro region in the state and has over a half-million residents. Visitors to the region will find no shortage of activities to keep them busy on an overnight or weekend trip.
Popular attractions include the rides and waves at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Allentown, a behind-the-scenes factory tour at the C.F. Martin Guitar Co. in Nazareth, hands-on science learning at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown and furry creatures of all shapes and sizes at the Lehigh Valley Zoo in Schnecksville.
The Lehigh Valley is also well known for its many festivals including Mayfair in Allentown over Memorial Day weekend, Musikfest in downtown Bethlehem, a 10-day festival of the arts and music in early-August, and Celtic Classic, a celebration of Irish culture, also in downtown Bethlehem in late-September. Outdoor activities include skiing, snow tubing and snow boarding at two mountains in the winter, and hiking, biking and fishing along the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers in the summer.

National Canal Museum
Come explore the National Canal Museum with its 90-foot water-filled model canal system. Kids and adults are immediately engaged in the fun and learning as they pilot their boats through the locks. You can harness a life-sized mule, play the canal captain simulation game, and operate a model train layout. It's all hands-on fun at the National Canal Museum!
Canal Boat Ride (June-July-August)
Located a few miles from Two Rivers Landing in Hugh Moore Park. Take a 30 minute mule-drawn canal boat ride on the Josiah White II, with costumed interpreters describing life on the canal. Canal boat admission includes a visit to the Emerick Technology Center. A combination ticket for a boat ride and admission to Two Rivers Landing is available. Christkindlmarkt
A European-style holiday market with food, arts and crafts, ice sculpting and live holiday entertainment. Thursdays – Sundays from November 24 – December 17.
