Crayola Mixing Mediums add exciting special effects to most water-based paints, including washable, tempera and poster paints - even watercolors! The mediums themselves are washable, and maintain the easy cleanup of Crayola Washable Paints. Multipy the possibilities by combining paints with:
- Glitter It! for dazzling sparkle
- Pearl It! for shimmering pearlescence
- Texture It! for rough, sandy texture.
- Add any Mixing Medium to paint and swirl once.
- Mix lightly - too much stirring can dull the effect.
- Tint mediums with a small amount of paint to make a glaze.
- Use unmixed - mediums alone are subtle on light backgrounds, bold on dark.
- Try mediums as an undercoat, with a wash of paint on top.
- Spread mediums over dry paint or mix into newly applied wet paint.
- Mixing Mediums work on any surface suitable for water-based paints.
- Use on finished/dry objects made from Crayola Model Magic® or Air-Dry Clay.
- For extra depth & texture, brush on several coats, each in a different direction.
- Spread Texture It! with a craft stick, and scratch into the surface.
