Asparagus is one of the only vegetables that I ever learned to like, and this is an even-keel green no matter how you use it. When I was little, I always went for the pine and forest greens...I always preferred the darkest shades of green, although any green is all right with me (it's my all-time favorite color, period). But now that I'm older, I appreciate grass-like shades of green, and besides, asparagus is one of my favorite veggies! I like the softness of this color, and living out in the country it most resembles the color of ferns.
