Colorful stories:
I don't know if I can explain this one, it's just a color that I have always liked. It's in the brown family, but to me it's not really brown. It has a hint of orange and is very earthy. It would be a good color for horses. Beautiful.

It is dramatic and I always thought it sounded so cool..."burnt sienna", what a great description.

Burnt sienna and raw umber (that was an old color, too, I think) remind me of a covered bridge in Vermont, the old barn woods, once painted red and faded into a glorious rich, burnished brown hue.
