Sweet, pretty, soft, feminine pink.
Carnations are my favorite flower.
It makes me feel like a little girl again. When I was little, friends of the family would come over to our house every Saturday night after church. I never liked going to bed because I didn't want to leave the "party". My mom's friend, Sharon, would sometimes volunteer to tell me a bedtime story to help me go to bed. One early fall night when she was tucking me in, we looked out my window and the sky was lit up. We had a contest trying to name the color of the sky and I said it looked sky-blue-pink. Sharon said she didn't think that was really a color, but it definitely described it. Now when the sun is just right, the sky turns sky-blue-pink and I always think of Sharon and great bedtime stories. My mother's favorite color is red and although I like red, I never wanted to be just like her. I wanted to be my own person, so I chose pink. Of all of the Crayola pinks, I liked carnation pink the best.
