I selected cornflower for my 3rd choice because I have some cornflowers planted in my garden, along with black-eyed susans. I am a novice at flower planting, but have enjoyed the beautiful colors they provide. Cornflower is soft and reminds me of a particular flower in my Grandmother's garden when I was little. To me, it's a color of patience and love. The softest blue of nature - you find it in varying degrees - but cornflower is the original. As a teenager I remember taking the crayon with me to the paint store so I would be sure to get the right shade of paint for my bedroom walls.
