Indigo is a special color because it reminds me of the quilt that I had as a child. My mother worked for months on this little quilt while she was pregnant with me. It had indigo trim with dark pink flowers on it with yellow leaves and green stems. It still lives on over 20 years later and looks brand new. It has kept my two children warm in their cribs as well, and it will be a part of this family for years to come. I am a 4th-grade teacher and have several denim dresses, shirts, and jumpers that are "kid friendly." On Fridays, we sometimes have "jean day." This color reminds me of comfort. Rainbows are beautiful creations. As a whole they are a work of art. Individual colors such as indigo make up this natural phenomenon and without this color there would be no rainbow.
