Lilacs are my favorite flowers. I write with purple pens and wear purple tennis shoes! I can't remember how long I've loved purple - I just do and all of my family knows it! Purple is a soulful color. It has feeling. Hearts are my favorite shape. Perfect together. It wasn't until recently that I really, really enjoyed this color a lot. When I was a little girl, my grandmother bought me a purple doll lamp (it was the only color they had left), so everyone assumed my favorite color was purple. I got tired of the color real fast, until now. My 2-year-old daughter's first color word was purple. We would go through the box of crayons and she would pick out every purple. We have a lot of all-purple pictures hanging up in our house now.
