Why
Could these cards and matching envelopes be magic? When you use the Crayola® Color Changeables™ wand and markers, swirls and plaids LOOK magical indeed!
Steps
- 1. E-mail is fun, but there’s nothing quite like a colorful, handmade card that comes with a stamp on it! Many people say snail mail is one of their favorite treats. When do you send friends and families cards? Birthdays, holidays, to say "Thanks!" or "I’m thinking of you!" are all good times to send unique, personalized messages!
- 2. Fold white paper into the card shapes you want. If this is your first time to try Crayola Color Changeables, you may want to experiment on plain paper. Explore how the markers and the color-changing wand work together—they’re really perfect for cool effects!
- 3. To make a plaid card, draw diagonal lines with different colors of your Changeables. With the color-changing wand, draw stripes in crossing diagonal lines. Watch the plaid design emerge on your card.
- 4. On another card, try drawing different shapes with the markers. Then use the changing wand to make patterns of lines or circles on top of the shapes. Your swirls will look like they could jump right off of the paper!
- 5. Decorate matching envelopes for a really coordinated look. Write your notes inside. How could you use Changeables to highlight the words you write?
