Why

Need a great gift for family or friends? Show off your new school photos in a hand-decorated frame.

Steps

1. Pick a frame and a theme. Choose a plastic box frame to show off your photos. They could be school pictures, vacation shots, or team pictures. Come up with a theme to decorate your photo frame. We chose a garden theme because lots of grandparents like flowers.
2. Prepare your pictures. Cut your photos to size with Crayola® Scissors. Glue them to the inside of the frame using a Crayola Glue Stick.
3. Decorate the outside of your frame with Crayola Window Markers. We added leaves, a flower pot, and a butterfly. Add finishing touches such as swirls, dots, or zig-zags. If you change your mind, just wipe your frame clean with a damp paper towel, dry it off, and begin again!
4. Insert construction paper behind your photos to accentuate your designs. Close the frame and it’s ready to wrap.

Safety Guidelines

Mirrors, Picture Frames, and Plant Pots—Close adult supervision is required when children use craft materials that could shatter or break. Handheld mirrors, picture frames with glass, ceramic pots, and similar breakable items may be used only by children 8 years and older. For children 7 years and younger, use unbreakable materials such as wood or sturdy plastic picture frames, unbreakable mirrors, and plant pots that will not shatter into sharp edges.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.
