Why

Fill your sidewalk with colorful pretend fireworks using a Crayola Super Brush™ and Sidewalk Paint. You can safely enjoy big, bright splashes of color, even during daylight!

Steps

  1. 1. What could be more exciting than watching a fireworks display? Now you can make a safe, big, vibrant display using the brilliant colors of Crayola Sidewalk Paints. Use the Crayola Super Brush™ splatter tip to create a shower of paint patterns.
  2. 2. Ask an adult to help find a safe, large outdoor area for painting and ask permission before you paint. For best results, Crayola Sidewalk Paints are designed for use on concrete or asphalt. After application, allow paint to dry completely. To remove, wash surface with a garden hose.
  3. 3. Assemble the Super Brush following the directions. Fill it with Sidewalk Paint. Wipe any paint from the end with a paper towel before attaching the splatter tip.
  4. 4. As you make fireworks sounds, press the splatter tip on the sidewalk. The paint comes out of the Super Brush! Try different ways to spatter the paint, such as by making short fast jumps, swinging the brush in a circle, or tapping it above the ground to get different patterns.
  5. 5. Mix different paint colors, too. Blend them thoroughly or just let them swirl in the brush. Whatever you do, you’ll have FUN with your pretend fireworks! Wash within 2 weeks with a garden hose or rain.

- Jacob T., father of 4- and 6-year-olds.

"Some kids jumped on bubble wrap for sound effects while others painted the fireworks. What fun! "
- Lisa V., scout leader.

Interesting Info

Did you know that 70% of fireworks injuries in the United States occur between June 23 and July 23 every year? Almost half of those injuries are children under the age of 15. Fireworks injuries are three times more likely to happen to boys than girls.
