Why

Pretend your Crayola Giant Inflatable Easel art wall is a magnifying glass! Grow HUGE wildlife with Sidewalk Paint and Chalk.

Steps

  1. 1. Go on an insect hunt around your yard. Uncover and discover the bugs around you. Look at your finds carefully. What do their limbs look like? How are their bodies shaped? Do they have wings, antennae, and eyeballs?
  2. 2. Use the Crayola Giant Inflatable Easel to create some BIG bugs with Crayola Sidewalk Paint and foam brush. Add more details with Crayola Sidewalk Chalk.
  3. 3. Use what you see in nature--as well as your imagination and your memory of bugs you have seen or never wish to--to draw creatures. Add other animals or scenery to your drawing if you wish.
  4. 4. Give your friends and neighbors a tour of your Larger-Than-Life Wildlife! When you’re finished, use a garden hose or a damp paper towel to clean the easel.

When & Where

"Drawing the animals we found enriched the excited capture and release of tiny wildlife at our campsite."
- Borg J., father of 6- and 9-year-olds.

"We made this activity into a scavenger hunt. One team drew critters that the other team had to find. Then they switched."
- Niah O., camp counselor.

Interesting Info
