Why

Use fun lines and designs to bring out the colors of your Crayola® Color Explosion™ paper. Create a funky, fun flower to decorate your room!

Steps

  1. 1. Draw a large circle in the center of a Crayola Color Explosion paper with the Color-Reveal Marker. This is the center of your flower.
  2. 2. Draw several very large petals touching the center circle and going almost to the edge. Decorate inside them with lines that echo the shape, lines that criss-cross, or little designs. Leave some black areas for contrast and to outline shapes.
  3. 3. Use Crayola Scissors to cut out around the outside edge. Display in your room. Why not make a "garden" with lots of colorful flowers?

When & Where

"Children made flowers to decorate the hallway. The effect almost looked like stained glass!"
- Joel R., Sunday School director.

"The kids hung their designs together in a bunch. Now everyone can appreciate their handiwork!"
- Mary V., after-school volunteer.

Interesting Info

The flower is the reproducing part of a plant. Vegetable plants first get flowers where the vegetable will grow. Some trees first get flowers where new leaves will be.
