Why

Make your gifts stand out for any holiday! Use festive Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™ art to make gift tags.

Steps

  1. 1. Decorate several papers with your Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™. Follow the directions on the package. For best results, draw a color-reveal marker design first, and then spin with solution to reveal the bright colors. Air-dry your spin art.
  2. 2. On the back of your decorated papers, draw birthday, welcome home, or any holiday shapes with a Crayola Colored Pencil. Cookie cutters are great to trace around. Use Crayola Scissors to cut out the shapes.
  3. 3. Use the Color Explosion color-reveal markers and Crayola Glitter Glue to add designs, words, or other embellishments to the front of the tag. Air-dry.
  4. 4. Use Crayola Markers to personalize the back of your gift tag. Punch a hole in your gift tag. Tie with ribbon to the gift. Your dramatic gift tag will be sure to catch everyone’s eyes!

When & Where

"We created gift tags as ornaments for the toy drive on our parish tree. Each tag was a different holiday shape and listed a gift for a child in need. Parish members could then select a tag, purchase the gift, and return it with the tag attached."
- Scott B., church volunteer.

"My children and I created personalized tags for all our holiday gifts. We really enjoyed a fun family afternoon."
- Michelle K., mother of ages 6 and 8.

Interesting Info

It’s a wrap! Gifts can be wrapped in many decorative ways--with paper, ribbon, fabric, boxes, bags, or whatever you can dream up!

Safety Guidelines

Glitter Glue— WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Not for use on skin.

Color Explosion™ Black—Wash hands well with soap and water after use.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

String-Like Materials—Includes string, raffia, lacing, yarn, ribbon, and other similar material. Children 3 years and younger should not be given any string-like material that is longer than 12 inches. Close adult supervision is essential whenever children use string-like material. When crafts are to be worn around the necks of children 8 years and younger, attach the ends of the “string-like material” with clear adhesive tape, which allows easy release of the bond if the craft becomes entangled or caught on equipment. For children older than 8 years, the ends of the “string-like material” may be tied and knotted.
