Why

Make fantastic, feathered fairy friends with Crayola Squeezables™ 3-D Paint and Color Explosion™ White. Your creativity will take flight with this magical project!

Steps

  1. 1. Use Crayola Squeezables™ 3-D Paint to decorate wooden clip clothespins for your fairy bodies. Make several fairies, each with their own personality and design. Air-dry the paint.
  2. 2. Bend chenille stems to make arms and legs for your fairies. Attach them to the clothespins with Crayola School Glue. Air-dry the glue.
  3. 3. For each fairy, cut Crayola Color Explosion™ White paper in half. Fold each piece in half. Cut out the wings in one piece. Use the Color Explosion Marker to decorate the wings in surprising fairy-like colors. Add highlights with the black drawing marker if you wish. Glue the wings to the back of the clothespins. Air-dry the glue.
  4. 4. Glue craft eyes, feathers, and ribbon to make your fairies’ faces, hair, and clothes. Add Crayola Glitter Glue for even more sparkle and shine. Air-dry the glue. Think of all the magic you can create!

Crayola Washable Paints—Not for use as body/face paint.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

String-Like Materials—Includes string, raffia, lacing, yarn, ribbon, and other similar material. Children 3 years and younger should not be given any string-like material that is longer than 12 inches. Close adult supervision is essential whenever children use string-like material. When crafts are to be worn around the necks of children 8 years and younger, attach the ends of the “string-like material” with clear adhesive tape, which allows easy release of the bond if the craft becomes entangled or caught on equipment. For children older than 8 years, the ends of the “string-like material” may be tied and knotted.
