Why

Boo! Who’s in that cool Halloween costume? IT’S YOU--framed in color and fun with Crayola Color Explosion™ and your spooky designs!

Steps

  1. 1. Take lots of pictures of your family and friends in their Halloween costumes. Choose your favorite photos and then gather supplies to make a gallery of colorful frames. Use your imagination or follow these directions.
  2. 2. Choose black or white Crayola Color Explosion™ Paper. With Crayola School Glue, attach one or more photos to the sheet. Air-dry the glue.
  3. 3. With the color-reveal markers that came with the Color Explosion paper, draw Halloween designs and bubble letters to highlight your photo. Fill in your outlines, revealing the surprise color patterns.
  4. 4. Add spooky sparkles and dazzle to your designs with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air dry.
  5. 5. Choose feathers to compliment the colors in your frame and pictures. Turn the frame over. Arrange feathers so they reach beyond the edge of the frame. Glue or tape them in place. Glue the back of the frame to the side of a box so it stands on its own. Air-dry the glue.

When & Where

"These frames are a great way to preserve memories and capture the fun of Halloween parades, parties, and trick-or-treat night. "
- Cindy P., mom of ages 7, 9, and 10.

"We have a dress-up week. All of us wear costumes or pretend play clothes every day. I take lots of pictures, so this project fits right into the festivities!"
- Suzanne W., family child care provider.

Interesting Info
