Why

Pick a glittery pumpkin to decorate for Halloween or Thanksgiving.

Steps

  1. 1. Form a base for the pumpkin using a ball of aluminum foil. Press the bottom flat so that it will stay in place.
  2. 2. Cover your pumpkin, with a thin layer of Crayola Model Magic® Fusion™ compound. Fusion sticks to most surfaces. With your fingers, add ribs so the pumpkin looks real. Fusion dries to the touch overnight and air dries completely in 2 or 3 days.
  3. 3. For the top of the pumpkin, use a cap from a recycled water bottle as a base. Form a stem, leaf, and tendril from Fusion around the lid. Make sure it is large enough to cover the top of your pumpkin.
  4. 4. When everything is dry, add sparkle with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry the glue before before displaying.

When & Where

- Teresa L., Junior Girl Scout leader.

"For Thanksgiving we made name tags for guests, attached them to the pumpkins, and used them as place cards."
- Hannah M., mother of 9-year-old.

Interesting Info
