Why

Make a shiny ornament for any holiday with a recycled CD and Crayola Squeezables™ 3-D Paint.

Steps

  1. 1. With Crayola Colored Pencils, trace the outside and center hole of a recycled CD on paper. Cut out the circle and hole with Crayola Scissors. Glue the paper circle to the printed side of the CD with a Crayola Glue Stick.
  2. 2. Write a message with Markers on the paper and/or decorate it with Crayola Squeezables™ 3-D Paint. Air-dry for about 60 minutes.
  3. 3. Turn the CD over and decorate the shiny side of the CD. Air-dry for 60 minutes.
  4. 4. Thread ribbon, string or yarn through the center hole. Tie a knot to hang.

Interesting Info

Decorating with holiday ornaments began in the 1500s. Christmas trees were decorated with paper roses, wafers, nuts, cookies, popcorn, and pretzels. By the 1800s, Christmas trees were decorated with glass-blown ornaments made in Germany.
