Why

Did you ever see a fish up close? Its beautiful scales make it glisten and shine. This sparkly collage creature is made with no-mess Color Wonder Glitter Paint.

Steps

1. Unfold your huge sheet of Crayola Color Wonder™ Paper. Choose your favorite Color Wonder Glitter Paint color. Draw a simple fish shape—it’s just an oval! Add two triangles for a tail, and put another one on top for a fin.
2. To make your glittery scales, dab more paint colors on another sheet of Color Wonder paper. Air-dry the paint.
3. When dry, tear the painted paper into tiny pieces. Using Crayola School Glue, attach the scales to your fish.
4. Complete your painting by adding an underwater background. Air-dry the paint. Watch your fish sparkle as it swims!

Interesting Info

Not all fish have scales. There are three categories of fish: jawless, boney, and cartilaginous. Jawless fish (such as hagfish or lamprey) do not have scales.
