Why

In the wild, leopards love to pounce, prowl, and play! This realistic mobile hits the spot!

Steps

  1. 1. Wrap it up! Glue ribbon around a dowel stick. Air-dry the glue.
  2. 2. Fur-real! Crayola True to Life™ products coordinate three nature-inspired colors in each crayon and marker tip. This makes it easy for you to make realistic looking pictures with a variety of hues. On paper, use crayons and markers to draw a leopard on the prowl. Leopards have flower-shaped spots all over their bodies. Twist and turn the tips to vary the colors. The effect will look just like real animal fur!
  3. 3. Cut out the prowling leopard. Punch two holes in the top.
  4. 4. Leopards have keen vision to help them hunt. Use Crayola Glitter Glue to add glistening eyes to your predator. Air-dry the glue.
  5. 5. Hanging around is fun. Decorate the ribbon, and the ribbon-covered dowel rod, with more spots if you like. Tie ribbon to the leopard and the covered dowel rod. Your almost-alive leopard is ready to hang out in your room!

- Drew R., father of 7-year-old.

"We frequently visit the big cats at the zoo and read about them a lot. The children made mobiles of all of their favorite prowlers and growlers."

Safety Guidelines

Glitter Glue— WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Not for use on skin.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

String-Like Materials—Includes string, raffia, lacing, yarn, ribbon, and other similar material. Children 3 years and younger should not be given any string-like material that is longer than 12 inches. Close adult supervision is essential whenever children use string-like material. When crafts are to be worn around the necks of children 8 years and younger, attach the ends of the “string-like material” with clear adhesive tape, which allows easy release of the bond if the craft becomes entangled or caught on equipment. For children older than 8 years, the ends of the “string-like material” may be tied and knotted.

Wood—By its nature, wood is rough and may contain splinters or sharp points
