Why

Spend a fun-filled afternoon with your whole family on this minigolf course—in your own driveway or at the park!

Steps

1. Ask an adult to help you find a safe, flat place for your course. Read the package directions before using Crayola Sidewalk Chalk.
2. With adult assistance, cut small openings in the sides of two clean, recycled milk cartons so that a plastic golf ball can roll through. Use recycled cardboard to make a small bridge. Cover your painting area with newspaper. Paint the cartons and the bridge with Crayola Washable Kid’s Paint and Brushes. The cartons pictured are painted like alligators, but use your imagination and paint your set any way you like.
3. Next, use your Crayola Chalk ‘n Roll® with blue Crayola Sidewalk Chalk to create a stream from one side to the other of your outdoor course. Leave three open spaces in the middle of the stream to tape on your bridge and the milk cartons. When you play, these openings are the only way to cross the stream!
4. On one side of the stream, use other chalk colors to create a large target. Give each section of the target a number value to keep score.
5. On the other side of the stream, use another chalk color to add sand traps and a starting point. Balls that land on the sand traps lose points—you choose how many! Count at least 15 clicks with the Chalk ‘n Roll to measure the distance between each sand trap.
6. At the side of your playing area, create a section to keep track of points for each team or player. It’s time to play minigolf with your friends!

Interesting Info

In golf, at first the balls were made out of wood. After that they were made out of leather that was stuffed with feathers!

Crayola Washable Paints—Not for use as body/face paint.

Outdoor Crafts—Choose safe outdoor areas, away from traffic and dangerous equipment. Close adult supervision is required.

Recycled Containers—Must be clean and safe. Do not use containers that contained bleach or other harmful chemicals (for example, household cleaners, dishwasher or laundry detergents). Do not use recycled metal cans that have sharp edges (for example, lids removed by household can openers).

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.
