Many pirates have claimed to sail the seven seas. In Medieval European Literature many different seas were counted as part of the seven seas including the Adriatic Sea, Irish Sea, and Black Sea. Today the seven seas are considered to be the North Pacific Ocean, South Pacific Ocean, North Atlantic Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean, Antarctic Ocean, and Artic Ocean.
