Why

Create fun, unique party favors that your guests will love. Customize these twisty treat or gift holders to match any party or holiday theme.

Steps

  1. 1. With Crayola Color Surge™ Markers, decorate one side of Color Surge™ Paper with pictures (such as sports balls, purses, shoes), shapes, lines, or anything else in your imagination. Use Crayola Super Tip Markers to add details. Decorate one sheet for each party guest.
  2. 2. Turn the paper over. Fold one long side up to create a contrasting strip. Decorate the strip with words that describe your party’s theme. For example, you might write "Go Team!" for a sports party or "It’s a Girl Thing" for a dress-up party.
  3. 3. Place double-stick tape under each end of the contrasting strip and press flat. Tape the long sides of your paper together to make a cylinder. Place tape inside one end of the cylinder. Press the circle flat. If you have a paper crimper, you could crimp the flattened edge.
  4. 4. Fill your cylinder with party treats such as small craft supplies.

  6. 6. Use more Color Surge Paper to create tags for your favors. Add a party guest’s name to one side and decorate the other side. Punch a hole in the end of each tag and tie it to a party favor with ribbon.
  7. 7. Embellish the favors with dots, stripes, and outlines of Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry the glue before giving these cool favors to your friends.

Safety Guidelines

Glitter Glue— WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD—Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. Not for use on skin.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

String-Like Materials—Includes string, raffia, lacing, yarn, ribbon, and other similar material. Children 3 years and younger should not be given any string-like material that is longer than 12 inches. Close adult supervision is essential whenever children use string-like material. When crafts are to be worn around the necks of children 8 years and younger, attach the ends of the “string-like material” with clear adhesive tape, which allows easy release of the bond if the craft becomes entangled or caught on equipment. For children older than 8 years, the ends of the “string-like material” may be tied and knotted.
