Why

Tune into nature's sounds while walking outside with your children. Kids listen for birds singing, wind blowing, or bees buzzing, then draw what they hear.

Steps

1. Go on a walk outside with an adult. Take your art supplies with you. Listen to nature's beautiful sounds all around you.
2. Sketch the sources of the sounds you hear with Crayola® Erasable Colored Pencils, Crayola Metallic Colored Pencils, and Crayola Crayons.
3. Imagine sounds that you can't hear, such as plants opening or butterfly wings spreading. Draw the imagined sounds, too.
4. Make up your own tunes, picking up on the sounds of nature. What words would you sing to describe the sounds?

Interesting Info
