Why

Go with your children on a trip to a far-off world filled with colorful creatures. The only transportation you'll need is their imagination.

Steps

1. Cover table with newspaper.
2. Cover the white paper with Crayola® Crayons, using as many colors as possible. Press hard so that no paper shows through and the color is nice and thick.
3. Pour a few drops of dish detergent into a paper cup, and add some Crayola Washable Kid's Paint. Mix the soap and paint carefully with a Crayola Paint Brush. Paint the entire paper evenly, using the paint and soap mixture.
4. Allow the paper to dry completely while you clean up the newspaper, paint, and brushes.
5. When your paper is completely dry, open up a paper clip or use a toothpick to scratch a beautiful, colorful drawing of an alien world onto the surface of your painted and colored paper. Enjoy the far out view!

Interesting Info

Movie visual-effect artists are able to make actors appear as if they're walking on a far-out planet without building expensive sets by using a technique called blue screen photography. They film actors in front of a lighted blue screen and then place these isolated images of the actors in backgrounds that are filmed separately.
