Why
Jazz up your summer picnic table! Create these quick and easy napkin rings with cardboard rolls and Crayola® Washable Markers.
Steps
- 1. Any picnic is a special event when you make your own decorations! Here's an easy way to make napkin rings for a summer picnic.
- 2. Choose any design you like. Draw your designs on recycled cardboard rolls with Crayola Washable Markers. Use lots of pretty colors!
- 3. If you know how to draw a square, you can make a checkerboard pattern. Here's how. Draw lines from the roll's top to its bottom.
- 4. Then draw lines crossing those lines going around the roll. That makes squares.
- 5. Color in every other square in one row. On the next row, color in the square above the blank one. Continue following this pattern. This will fill in your checkerboard.
- 6. Insert a Hallmark® napkin into one end. What a festive picnic!
