Christmas Tree Table Topper craft

Put a tree on your table for holiday dinners. Family members will marvel at your children's Christmas creativity!

  • 1.

Color and decorate a sturdy cardboard base with Crayola® Metallic FX Crayons and Crayola Glitter Glue. You might draw a tree skirt with bright, festive colors, or a snowy field.

  • 2.

For your tree trunk, cut construction paper with Crayola Scissors to cover a paper towel tube. Attach paper to the tube with Crayola School Glue.

  • 3.

Cut lots of green construction paper strips for tree branches. Decorate strips with metallic crayons, Crayola Washable Markers, and glitter glue. Draw ornaments, tinsel, garlands, and lights. Dry.

  • 4.

Coil strips around a crayon so the branches will appear to be hanging. Glue strips to the tree trunk. Layer strips and alternate longer and shorter ones to create a full tree.

  • 5.

Cut a yellow or gold paper star with a strip attached. Decorate it with glitter glue or metallic crayons. Glue to the top of your tree. Glue the tree to the cardboard base. Dry.

  • 6.

With colored Crayola Model Magic, make festive packages. Glue them under the tree. Dry.
