Countdown-to-School Calendar craft

10, 9, 8, 7, 6….blast off to a new school year with a Countdown Calendar. Erase your get-ready reminders until the new year begins with this handy organizer!

  • 1.

    Draw! When there are about 10 days until the new school year begins, make a poster to help you get ready. Use Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils to draw a large apple tree—or any theme you choose. Draw the same number of apples as there are days until school starts (or jobs left to do!).

  • 2.

    Organize! Inside each apple, write things that you need to do to get ready for school: find your book bag, buy art supplies, label belongings, walk the route with an adult, polish shoes—you get the idea.

  • 3.

    Countdown! Erase the inside of th apple when each activity is completed leading up to the first day of school.
