Do you really enjoy creating your own crosswords? Challenge yourself to use the names of your country's leaders.
On paper, outline a big government building, like the old parliment building in Ottawa, Canada using Crayola® Metallic Colored Pencils.
Inside the shape, map out building blocks like a crossword puzzle. Use a straight edge if you like. Make each block large enough to write one letter inside.
Make a list of the names of your country's leaders, both today's and yesterday's. In Canada, these government leaders are called Prime Ministers. They are known as the "first among equals" because they are the most powerful of all the Cabinet members.
Fit your leaders' names inside the blocks. Maybe you'll want to put the leader who founded your country along the building's foundation. For example, Sir John Macdonald was Canada's first Prime Minister.
Try to figure out a way to have the names go both up and down and across by sharing common letters. See if you can get the names to interconnect like a crossword puzzle. Search for more leaders' names until you find ones that fit together!
Use Crayola Gel Markers to write over the names in large letters. That way the leader's names and their places in history stand out.
