Boxing Day Blocks

Why

Boxing Day is celebrated the day after Christmas. This perfect craft recycles boxes and paper to make festive blocks to build brains all year long.

Steps

1. Tear holiday wrapping paper scraps into interesting shapes and sizes.

2. With Crayola® School Glue, attach paper scraps to recycled holiday gift boxes. Cover all sides with a collage of colorful paper.

3. Glue on ribbon, gift tags, and other recycled holiday decorations.

4. Add your own decorations with Crayola Washable Markers.

5. Use your festive boxes to build with or as props for pretend play.

Boxing Day, a bank holiday in England, is also celebrated in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand on December 26. The holiday originated in the Middle Ages when lords and ladies gave gifts to servants and charities the day after Christmas.
