Bunny Gift Bags

Why

Bunnies are so cute! Use this bunny gift bag as an Easter basket or for May Day. Kids will be prepared when the Chinese Year of the Rabbit hops around in 2011!

Steps

1. Draw bunny ears, eyes, and nose on construction paper with Crayola® Colored Pencils. Cut them out using Crayola Scissors.

2. Glue the rabbit's features onto a brown or white paper lunch bag with Crayola School Glue.

3. Using Crayola Washable Markers, finish drawing the face on your bunny, such as whiskers and mouth. Glue on cotton balls for a tail if you like.

4. Glue handles to the bag.  Air-dry the glue before lifting.

Craft items such as scissors, push pins and chenille sticks may have sharp points or edges. Avoid use of materials with sharp points by children younger than 4 years. Read all manufacturers' safety warnings before using arts and craft supplies.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

Where & When

"Our troop filled their Rabbit-Tail Bags with treats. We took them to a children's hospital to cheer up patients on May Day."
Micheline P., scout leader.

"Kids made these at a neighborhood play group. Older children felt so grown up when they cut pieces for younger ones."
Diane M., mother of 3-year-old.
