Butterfly Bookmark
Capture the beauty of a butterfly-in a bookmark! Mark your spot with this craft idea from The Crayola FACTORY®.
1. Have you watched how butterflies fly? They can light on a thin stem or the most delicate blossom. Would you like to fly, float, and flutter? Some Kung Fu experts, trapeze artists, maybe a power bungee jumper might try. But they still lack the gentle grace of a butterfly.
2. Using Crayola Model Magic, make a butterfly to perch inside a book to mark your place. You can create the colors you wish in two ways. Mix colors of Model Magic together. Or, blend the color from Crayola Washable Markers with Model Magic.
3. Shape your butterfly's body and delicate wings. Make it realistic, or invent your own fanciful creature. Dry overnight.
4. Attach your butterfly to a craft stick with Crayola School Glue. Dry. You're ready to read!
Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project.
