Color Match Card Game
Toddlers delight in this card game-from start to finish! Kids design the cards and match the colors all by themselves. What a fun way to learn color names!
1. Who is Roy G. Biv? Let's find out!
2. What are the names of the colors in a Crayola® Large Washable Crayon box? The first letter of each color name matches with the letters of the name Roy G. Biv. For instance, R stands for red, O stands for orange and Y stands for yellow. What are the other colors? Here's a color game you can make and play!
3. To make cards: Use each crayon in the box. Color on one side of two index cards with each color. Fill the cards with bright colors. Make 16 cards, two of each color.
4. How to play: Lay all the cards with the colors facing down. Mix up the cards. Turn two cards over at a time. Name the colors. Do they match? If so, you have a pair. Try again! If they don't match, it's the other player's turn.
