Cool Cut-Ups Picture Frame

Why

Looking for a cool way to jazz up a picture frame? Decorate it with bright bits of Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™ art!

Steps

1. Cover your craft area with newspaper. Use a Crayola Paint Brush and Washable Kid’s Paint to cover a paper or wood picture frame. The color will peek out between the mosaic-like tiles when you decorate the frame. Air-dry the paint.

2. To make your tiles, decorate several Crayola Color Explosion™ Papers with your Crayola Color Explosion Spinner™. Start by making a dot on the paper with a color-reveal marker. Then follow the directions in the package.

3. Use the Crayola Total Tools™ Ultimate Cutter™to cut the Spinner art into strips. Cut the strips into tiny pieces such as triangles and squares. This is a great way to recycle extra paper from other Spinner projects, too!

4. It’s time to tile! Glue the Color Explosion tiles to the picture frame in a mosaic style until the frame is almost covered. Fit the pieces next to each other as if you were working on a puzzle. Leave a little space between each tile so the paint peeks through. Air-dry the glue.

5. Insert a favorite picture and admire your fabulous faux-mosaic frame!
