Dreamy Dots & Designs
Try this new twist on traditional Australian Aboriginal art and have fun with lots of dots!
1. Traditional Australian Aboriginal art—like all art—uses designs and lines to represent ideas. Aboriginal art usually includes lots of dots. Many paintings show a very large bird or reptile. Try this technique, and maybe even an Australian theme with Crayola Color Explosion™ paper and color-reveal markers!
2. Use the color-reveal marker to outline anything you like! Inside this area, make small shapes or lines to show detail in a stylized way.
3. Fill in big background areas with long thin rectangles, lots of dots, and circles. Try making a repeated shape to frame the outside edge.
4. You could even make several and fill your room with color!
Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project.
Color Explosion™ Black—Wash hands well with soap and water after use.
