Eye-Popping Pumpkin Card
Have fun creating spooky Jack-o’-Lantern cards to share with friends and family. Carving these pop-up pumpkins is a cinch with the Crayola Cutter!
1. Here’s one way to make a Jack-o’-Lantern card with lots of interior cuts—a craft that is perfect for your Crayola Cutter! Use your own imagination to make lots of designs.
2. Fold construction paper into a card. Follow the directions with your Cutter to cut black paper the same size as the front of the card.
3. With Crayola Fine Line Markers, write HAPPY HALLOWEEN in block letters on thin paper. Lay this over the black paper. Use the Cutter to cut through both layers. Discard the white paper. Punch out the letters from the black paper. Use a Crayola Glue Stick to glue the black paper to the front of your card. The letters will stand out in white!
4. Cut a circle and a moon from yellow paper. Glue the circle to the bottom of the card front. Cut two identical pumpkins slightly larger than the yellow circle out of contrasting colors of orange paper. Trim the lighter pumpkin to be slightly smaller than the darker one. Use the Cutter to cut eyes, nose, and mouth out of the light-colored pumpkin.
5. Lay the lighter pumpkin over the darker one. Draw slightly smaller features on the dark pumpkin. Cut these out with the Cutter.
6. Glue the dark pumpkin over the yellow circle. Attach the light-colored pumpkin to the top of the dark one by gluing small pieces of foam between the two for a 3-D effect. See the yellow "light" inside your pumpkin shine through the cut outs! Glue the moon on the card front, too.
7. Glue black paper to the inside of the card. Cut white ghost-shaped letters to spell BOO! Cut interior ghost features with the Cutter. Use self-adhesive foam dots to the back of the ghosts and attach them to the card. Use your imagination to add a border or other decorations.
