Family Portrait

What better way to explore their family relationships than to draw family portraits?

1. On a sheet of paper, draw each member of your family with Crayola® Washable Markers.
2. Include things that your family members do, either by themselves or together. For instance, if your sister loves to play softball, include a bat and ball.
3. Write each person's name on the portrait. Make sure the artist's name (that's you) and date are on this treasured family document.

Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project.

"Our son spent the morning drawing us just as he sees us. He later gave his art to his father, for Father's Day."
Ellen F., mother of kids ages 8, 11, and 15.
"Children drew their extended families. They learned that families are created by love, and come in many configurations."
Angelo D., religious school teacher.

From a simple afternoon potluck to an all-week adventure, family reunions are a big hit. For memories galore, keep snapshots and children's art in a scrapbook along with the formal portraits.
