Feathery Chenille Arrangement

Why

Want to add pizzazz to your desk or a table? Decorate your room with this fabulous arrangement!

Steps

1. Decorate one or more sheets of Crayola Color Explosion™ paper any way you like with the marker. Every mark will show a surprising array of colors. Add glittering touches with Crayola Glitter Glue. Air-dry.

2. Wrap the paper around an oatmeal box or other container. Cut it to fit with Crayola Scissors. Glue the cover in place with Crayola School Glue. Air-dry the glue.

3. Add a bouquet made of feathers, chenille stems, dried flowers, twigs, or other beautiful items. Hint: If needed, crumple paper in the bottom to get the display to stand up higher.

Where & When

"I made this fun, feathery vase for my mom. She put it on her desk at work. The best part is that feathers last a lot longer than flowers! "
My L., age 7

"Children loved making these dramatic gifts for their parents. Many families are using the arrangements as centerpieces."
Valerie W., after-school crafts volunteer.
