Fingertip Friends

Why

Turn hand tracings into creative characters. Crayola® Color Wonder™ won't color on skin so hands stay mess free.

Steps

1. Put one hand flat on Crayola Color Wonder Paper. Press your palm down and spread your fingers apart.

2. Trace around your hand with a Crayola Color Wonder Marker. Carefully lift your hand from the paper. Color Wonder ink is clear, so no color will appear on your hand.

3. Draw finger puppet characters on each finger using Color Wonder Markers. Make silly creatures, fairy tale characters, or favorite animals. Turn each finger into a different character. Color in the rest of your hand with Color Wonder Markers.

4. Tell a story with your fingertip friends. Wash your hands well with soap and water after you complete your project.

Safety Guidelines

Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project. Observe children closely and intervene as necessary to prevent potential safety problems and ensure appropriate use of arts and crafts materials. Some craft items, particularly beads and buttons, are potential choking hazards for young children. Avoid use of such small parts with children younger than 3 years. Craft items such as scissors, push pins and chenille sticks may have sharp points or edges. Avoid use of materials with sharp points by children younger than 4 years. Read all manufacturers' safety warnings before using arts and craft supplies.
