Fun With Fashions

Why

Now you can design wardrobes like a pro! You get to choose the "fabrics," the models, and even the styles of the outfits!

Steps

1. Look through the many color and design options you have with all the stencils and paper that are included in the Crayola Cutter Fashion Portfolio kit! Sort through everything to decide what to make for your fashion show.

2. Use Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils to add color and curves to the models’ hair, skin, and bodies. Make them look just like you and your friends or your favorite models. Erase tiny areas to show highlights. Choose the clothing in the kit. Design more of your own with colored pencils on separate paper. Be sure to adjust the sizes and shapes of the clothes to fit your models!

3. Place one paper model at a time on the cutting mat. Hold the Cutter wand upright. Move it slowly over the lines while holding the button down. The Cutter makes it easy to cut around hair and to make other delicate cuts.

4. Cut out the clothes. If you want to be able to switch outfits, cut out tiny tabs in several places around each piece. After you have cut all the pieces, gently separate them from the paper background.

5. Use Crayola Glue Sticks (or the tabs) to attach your cut-out clothing to each model. Layer clothes and add detail as you go.

6. Decide where you want to place the models on a poster or some other type of display. Use the Cutter to make runway and background decorations. Attach them with self-adhesive foam dots to create a 3-D scene. Add detail to your design with colored pencils. The show is about to begin!
