Groovy CD Case

Why

CD cover art can be just as cool or retro as your music! These are so easy to make, you can personalize your entire collection.

Steps

1. Remove the cover insert from a CD jewel case. Trace around the insert on a piece of white paper with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils. Cut it out with Crayola Scissors.

2. Draw a cool retro design with Crayola Markers.

3. Insert your finished cover into the CD jewel case. Why not color code all of your cases?

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.

Interesting Info

In 1939, Alex Steinweiss, a designer at Columbia Records, came up with the idea of replacing standard labels on album covers with original art. Covers have shrunk from 12-inch cardboard squares to 5-inch plastic cases.
