Hello-From-Here Stationery

Why

Write letters to your friends on your own stationery. Say hello in style from wherever you are-even a pretend place in your favorite book!

Steps

1. What is your favorite book setting? For Harry Potter fans, it might be Hogwarts. Choose a symbol from your favorite novel that you could show on your own original letterhead. Some examples from the Harry Potter series are a sorting hat, levitation wand, cloak of invisibility, broomsticks, owls, or the Hogwarts crest.

2. On white paper, use Crayola® Colored Pencils to sketch several symbols. Use your imagination to create a clever and unique design for your personal stationery-both the paper and envelopes.

3. Draw your design on a foam produce tray with a colored pencil. To create a stamp, use the tip and the end of your colored pencil to make indentations in the foam. Use Crayola Scissors to cut out your stamp.

4. Cover your art area with recycled newspaper. Using Crayola Washable Kid's Paint and a Paint Brush, cover your stamp with one or more colors. Press the stamp down on the paper or envelope. Leave room to write! Lift up stamp gently. Air dry flat.

5. Embellish your designs with Crayola Glitter Glue and Gel Markers. Air dry flat.

6. Write messages to all your friends! Send greetings to family members while you're at camp!
