Hip Hop Hopscotch
In just a hop, skip, and a jump, kids create a bright and bold Hopscotch grid for hours of outdoor fun.
1. Ask an adult to help you find a safe, large area of concrete or asphalt, such as a sidewalk or driveway that is at least 6 months old. Ask permission before you paint with your Crayola® Washable Sidewalk Paint Kit. Test a small area to make sure the paint does not stain.
2. With the paint roller included in your kit, roll out the boundaries for your Hopscotch grid. Make at least 10 squares that are large enough to fit your foot.
3. With the Crayola So Big Brush from your kit, write the numbers 1 to 10 in the squares. Air-dry paint completely before playing.
4. Paints wash from skin with soap and water. Normal laundering procedures remove stains from most cotton, polyester, acrylic fabrics, and their blends. For best results, wash immediately in hot water. Do not use pre-wash products as they may set stains. Severe staining may require repeat laundering or all-fabric bleach.
5. While paint is drying, search for flat stones or other flat objects to use in your Hopscotch game.
6. Take turns with your friends throwing your stone on a square and hopping through the grid. Remember to skip the square with your stone! Or make up new rules and games using your painted course.
7. Remove paint after 2 weeks if it has not washed off in the rain. Wash surface with the water pressure from a garden hose. Light brushing with a broom or nylon brush may be necessary to remove some paint.
