Hop on a Huge Number!

Why

Hop on giant numbers for some "add"itional fun with Crayola Sidewalk Paint.

Steps

1. Make up your own outdoor games simply by painting numbers on a safe, big, clear paved area that an adult helps you choose. Ask permission before you paint. For best results, Crayola Sidewalk Paints are designed for use on concrete or asphalt. To remove, wash surface with a garden hose.

2. Pour your Crayola Sidewalk Paint into the tray. With the So Big® Brush or paint roller, paint very large numbers from 1 to 10 (or even higher), scattered in any order you want.

3. Paint a circle around each number. Decorate the insides and edges with colorful designs. While the paint dries, wash the brush, roller, and tray.

4. Make up rules for your game. Maybe one person could call out a number and everyone has to try to get to that number as quickly as possible. Or try adding two numbers together and the first person who jumps on the correct answer announces the next equation. What else do you think would be fun to do with these giant numbers? Wash within 2 weeks with a garden hose or rain.

Interesting Info

In the Southern United States, Hoppin' John is traditionally served on New Year's Day for good luck. There are many stories about the name of this favorite food of black-eyed peas, greens, and rice. The meaning of the ingredients is clear---peas stand for coins, greens stand for dollar bills, and if you add cornbread, it is gold.
