I'm Growing Taller!
How high can the monkey climb? As you grow taller, this monkey climbs higher! Toddlers and preschoolers love to make their own growth charts!
1. Tape together several sheets of narrow poster board end to end. Turn over your poster.
2. With Crayola® Kid's First® Washable Markers, draw a tall tree that a monkey might climb. Maybe a coconut palm?
3. Use your markers to draw a monkey on a small index card.
4. With Crayola School Glue, attach your monkey to a spring-type wooden clothespin. Air dry.
5. Ask an adult to help you tape the tree to a wall. Now you are ready to see how tall you are.
6. Stand with your back against the tree. Ask an adult to mark where the top of your head is. Write the date next to the mark. Put the monkey clothespin at the mark. Wait a few weeks to measure yourself again. Move the monkey up the tree as you grow taller!
