Why

Looking for easy art ideas? Try a plain paper plate and Crayola® Large Washable Crayons. Young designers dish up this project!

Steps

1. Fold a plain paper plate into sections if you like. Or divide it into shapes by drawing lines with Crayola Large Washable Crayons.

2. Create a different design, pattern, or color in each part.

3. Draw more designs on the back of the plate. Can you fill the whole plate with color and designs?

Interesting Info

Did you know that you can buy 100% tree-free paper? Not a single tree was cut down to make it! Tree-free paper can be made from plants such as kenaf, hemp, bamboo, cotton, flax, banana stalks, and even something called bagasse, (another word for sugar cane). Tree-free paper can also be made from farmers' leftovers, such as corn stalks and wheat straw.
