Pins With Pizzazz
Add a personal flair to any wardrobe! This dramatic, easy-to-create jewelry is made with glue and Crayola Twistables®.
1. Design your jewelry. Ready to make fashionable pins AND pendants? Give this simple, cool jewelry-making technique a try. Sketch your designs on paper with Crayola Erasable Colored Pencils. Notice how the sample pins have wavy lines with wide spaces between them. You could write words or make other designs on your pieces.
2. Ask an adult to cut black foam board into the size and shape of pin or pendant that you need.
3. Draw with glue! Use Crayola School Glue to draw your design directly on the foam board. Air-dry the glue overnight. It will dry clear.
4. Color your designs. Use a heavy layer of Crayola Twistables, Crayons, or Construction Paper Crayons to fill the spaces between the black lines that show through the glue. Lightly polish the colors with a tissue.
5. Glue on a pin backing. Or, to make a pendant, just glue the pendant to yarn. Air-dry overnight before wearing or wrapping as a gift.
