Pumpkin Patch Board Game

Why

Kids can count on handmade games for holiday entertainment. They learn about how pumpkins grow and figure out game strategies, too!

Steps

1. On cardboard, use Crayola® Washable Markers to create your own board game. Make start and finish spots. You may want to draw a big pumpkin at the beginning or end of the patch. Draw a path and spaces to move along the board. Then draw vines and pumpkins to create a whole patch full of pumpkins.

2. Use Crayola Scissors to cut paper rectangles for game cards. Draw pumpkins with different faces on each card, or other directions for moving around the board.

3. Shape Crayola Model Magic into dice. Make dots on the dice with black modeling material. Create game tokens with Model Magic. You might make pumpkins, scare crows, bats, leaves, or other fall images. Dry.

4. Agree on directions for playing the game, and you're ready to roll!

Safety Guidelines

Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project.

  • Do not put in an oven, microwave, or kiln.
  • Do not make into vessels/containers that will hold unpackaged food.

However, they are produced on the same machinery as Crayola Dough which does contain gluten. Although the machines are cleaned prior to the start of each production run, there is a slight possibility that trace amounts of gluten from Crayola Dough may be present in the other modeling compound products. Interesting Info

Tips for caring for real pumpkins: Ripening pumpkins should be left on their vines as long as possible. If you pick your own pumpkin, cut the stem with a knife. Hold the pumpkin around the bottom, instead of carrying it by the stem.
