Scary Scratches
Scratch off a scary scene for Halloween! Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with this classic crayon technique.
1. Do things scare you less if you are around them a lot? Many cultures celebrate scary things on holidays such as Halloween or Dia de los Muertos. What scares you? Here's a way to show it on paper.
2. Color a whole sheet of white paper with a thick layer of Crayola® Crayons. Use any colors wherever you like.
3. Cover your art area with newspaper. With a Crayola Paint Brush, generously spread black Crayola Washable Kid's Paint over the entire page. Air dry flat.
4. With the pointed tip of Crayola Scissors, scratch ghoulish creatures in the black paint. The crayon colors will shine through to make your drawing! Happy Fright Night!
