Snake in the Grass!
Make a silly torn-paper nature scene without any mess! This Color Wonder snake slithers its way through 3-D blades of grass.
1. Snakes like to bask in the sun. They also love to hide in grass and weeds. Color grassy tufts on two-thirds of a piece of Color Wonder™ Paper with Color Wonder Paints. Air-dry the paint.
2. On another piece of Color Wonder paper, paint a lively snakeskin pattern. Fill the entire page with color. Air-dry the snakeskin, too.
3. Fold the grass page in half lengthwise. Tear into the folded edge to make blades of grass. Roll the folded torn length into a cylinder. Tape the edges closed.
4. Crumple and tear the patterned paper into a snake. Bend it to form a head and coil it around at the tail. Snake your reptile inside the grass, perhaps with its head peeking through the blades.
Adult supervision is required for any arts & crafts project. Observe children closely and intervene as necessary to prevent potential safety problems and ensure appropriate use of arts and crafts materials. Some craft items, particularly beads and buttons, are potential choking hazards for young children. Avoid use of such small parts with children younger than 3 years. Craft items such as scissors, push pins and chenille sticks may have sharp points or edges. Avoid use of materials with sharp points by children younger than 4 years. Read all manufacturers' safety warnings before using arts and craft supplies.
